Electrosoft was awarded a subcontract to assist an independent federal agency with defining a vision and architecture for its Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12)–compliant Personal Identity Verification (PIV) authentication engineering and design solution. Under this contract, Electrosoft will provide insight, technical direction and subject matter expertise to implement HSPD-12–compliant PIV authentication for the non-privileged users of the agency’s information systems. Efforts also will include detailed designs for derived PIV credentials for government-owned and employee-owned mobile devices. In so doing, Electrosoft will help modernize and strengthen the agency’s authentication infrastructure and enable staff members to perform critical tasks while using mobile platforms.
