Electrosoft, an award-winning IT and professional services firm specializing in cybersecurity, announced the celebration of its 20-year anniversary. In April 2001, Electrosoft CEO Dr. Sarbari Gupta founded the company with a vision to elevate the state of information security within the federal community. Today, the company delivers comprehensive technology-based solutions and services to over 15 federal government agencies through 25+ contracts across 9 states.
“So much has changed in the past twenty years. What hasn’t changed is Electrosoft’s focus on developing deep technical and information security expertise in service to our customers,” said Gupta. “I am so proud that our team’s unwavering commitment to integrity, customer service and excellence has led Electrosoft to achieve this remarkable milestone.”
One of Electrosoft’s earliest highlights was working with the National Institute of Standards and Technology to pioneer some of the first federal government guidelines related to the issuance and authentication of digital identities. Since then, the company has co-authored dozens of NIST publications, supported agencies in implementing innovative security solutions and helped customers maintain infrastructure security. The company continues to build on its cybersecurity capability and customer relationships to meet the escalating and emerging needs for a secure government.
An early quality milestone was the implementation of Electrosoft’s comprehensive Quality Management System for product delivery, operations and management processes. Since then, the ISO 9001-registered QMS has served as the foundation of consistent and scalable growth. The company successfully registered the QMS against the ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management and earned CMMI Level 3 ratings for both Development and Services. Recently, Electrosoft earned ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certifications for best-in- class management of information security management systems and delivery of IT professional services to customers.
Electrosoft thought leaders have presented at numerous conferences, published through media outlets and appeared in podcasts/interviews. Starting in 2020, Electrosoft has launched its own series of cybersecurity events and podcasts, bringing together industry and government experts to share technology best practices and perspectives. Earlier this month, the company hosted its third in its series of Cyber Summits featuring government and industry speakers focused on Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) and Zero Trust.
The company has earned awards and recognition for its growth and company culture. In 2020 alone, Electrosoft was recognized as a Washington Post Top Workplace; ranked on the Washington Technology Fast 50 and Washington Business Journal Fastest 75; and appeared on Inc. 500|5000 for the seventh time.
