Electrosoft is pleased to announce that it has won a contract with a premier high-assurance digital certificate provider that operates as an approved PKI Shared Service Provider (SSP) for federal agencies.
Employees and contractors at federal agencies are issued strong identity credentials through one of the approved SSPs. In turn, these credentials are used to provide identity, authentication, encryption and digital signature solutions for government to government (G2G) as well as government to business (G2B) transactions.
To maintain its status as an approved SSP, the vendor must be audited for compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA). Once the compliance audit is complete, Electrosoft will document its findings of security weaknesses within the solution. Electrosoft also will provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation to assist the SSP vendor in improving the security posture of its digital identity solution.
FISMA applies to federal agencies and contractors providing essential services and solutions to federal agencies. Key offerings within Electrosoft’s cybersecurity practice includes helping customers prepare for an independent assessment of the security controls; performing the security control assessment and documenting the findings in a Security Assessment Report; and developing plans of actions and milestones to manage and mitigate the identified risks.
