Electrosoft today announced it has acquired Achilles Shield, Inc., a government cybersecurity services firm. The acquisition expands Electrosoft’s cybersecurity capabilities and services to federal civilian and defense organizations.

Under terms of the agreement, Achilles Shield is a wholly owned subsidiary of Electrosoft. Dr. Gupta also serves as the CEO of Achilles Shield. Kevin Thomas, who recently joined Electrosoft as senior vice president of strategic growth, is the founder of Achilles Shield and will continue serving as the subsidiary’s president.
