Electrosoft was awarded a contract to implement and operate the Innovative Information Technology Evaluation Laboratory (IITEL) “test bed” and innovations lab. The core activities include planning and implementing project tasks, performing cost analysis, conducting market research, and providing Tier III operational support to Helpdesk, video-teleconferencing (VTC) and ARL user communities. Key IT operational and functional support include networking, Windows/Unix systems, Helpdesk, VTC, information assurance management, corporate information operations center, mobile technology (phone/tablet), and the introduction of “Innovation” technologies (lab and production).
Electrosoft drives innovation by researching, testing, evaluating, and recommending COTS/GOTS technologies and processes. The end-goal is to provide “leading edge” and value-oriented solutions and alternatives for new and existing technologies to increase office automation capabilities of the ARL researcher. Concurrently, the “ARLInside” intranet website is maintained enabling ARL staff to readily monitor the progress of specific evaluations, tasks, and projects regarding technologies researched in the IITEL.
